Tami arrived at my place around 8:30. We then loaded up the bikes and took off towards Granger. Scott from Team Bat and his wife were hosting a pre BRR party. When we pulled up to their home, the Day Drinkers bus was already there and several other vehicles. Fun crowd. We stayed and socialized for an hour or so and then took off towards Perry to meet up with the rest of the Road Pirates. As usual the Bar was packed and it was great to see everyone. Of course the attire was all about warmth, no biking shorts today. The ride is 24 miles round trip, the temp outside is like 31 degrees. Are we crazy or what.
The Road Pirates left Lisa's around 1 p.m. and started peddling towards Rippy. Luckily the head wind was not as bad as it has been in the past, but WOW am I out of shape. I am looking forward to the weather getting warmer and to start biking again.
Rippy was a blast as always. We started out singing and dancing on one of the picnic tables and before long the table was full of a bunch of drunk dancing women and one guy, that really seemed to enjoy touching himself. Hmm.... Oh it was just Matt. We stayed there for a couple hours and then head back towards Perry again.
The ride back was definately easier, down hill and no wind. Tami and I made pretty good time, so we went into Lisa's and waited for Rick and Tammy to show up. Somehow they ended up way behind us. Once they showed up we had beer and decided to walked over to the Mexican resturaunt down the street to have dinner. By the time we were finished eating, I was unfortunately tired and ready to call it a day. Apparently so was everyone else. Definately a fun day had by all and we road every mile. Yeah!!!
